Taylor goes solar with bus stop safety lights

Solar panels are about to start following school kids in Taylor now that the Taylor School District’s Board of Education has embraced the Adopt-A-Watt program.The school district will install 50 solar school bus stop lights, utilizing the Adopt-A-Watt program. The idea is that the self-sufficient warning lights will help slow down traffic around bus stops, preventing accidents.Sponsorships are expected to pay for the installation of the lights, which is expected to cost about the same as the annual expenditure on a highway billboard.
