TradeMaster’s growth doubles down, plans to hire as many as 8 people
TradeMaster is mastering its trade as it introduces it products to the west of the U.S. and continues it rapid growth.
Being a fire inspector is hard enough, juggling irritated business owners and a myriad of regulations. Enter Troy-based TradeMaster.
The 6-year-old firm provides a computerized tablet with software that catalogs addresses and codes for any municipality, so something doesn’t sneak by the inspector. It’s technology that TradeMaster salvaged from a bankrupt auto supplier and turned into the foundation for its business.
The company now employs 16 people and a handful of contractors after starting with just four. It hopes to hire eight more people in the near future.
TradeMaster has enjoyed doubling its growth each year since its founding and is headed for yet another year of 100 percent growth, capturing a number of markets east of the Mississippi. Over the next five years it plans to head west.
“We’ve really done our best to not become an obstruction to our own growth,” says Joe Krehel, president of TradeMaster.
