Detroit City Council task force recommends recycling implementation by 2009

Detroit City Council’s Solid Waste Recycling/Environmental Waste Task Force has released a plan that recommends curbside recycling, encouragement of composting, an education campaign and incentives for waste reduction.

DaimlerChrysler calls for national biofuel standards

At the National Biodiesel Board conference in San Antonio, Texas, Deb Morrissett, vice president of regulatory affairs for Daimler Chrysler's AG Chrysler Group called for the biodiesel industry to set a national standard for B20. She also pledged Daimler Chrysler's ongoing commitment to the development of more vehicles capable of running on diesel, including B5, B20 and E85.
