Asterand CEO named interim TechTown director

Techtown has named Asterand CEO Randal Charlton interim director following the resignation of Howard Bell. Charlton was also recently named entrepreneur in residence and special development assistant to the president at Wayne State University.

Excerpt:

“I don’t see anything but good times for this project. We got a new site plan out there and a challenge to the community to build something that’s never been done before,” [Bell] said, referring to plans unveiled in late December for a $1.3 billion, 12-block redevelopment plan for the area surrounding the former Burroughs Building, now called TechOne, the first of three buildings that will eventually make up the technology park.
