As organizations of all types and sizes look to retain members and lure new ones with services that give more bang for the buck, the program adds personality to an exclusive club where the initiation fee is $400 and ongoing dues range from $84.25 to $211.25 a month.
“This is value-added,” board member and businesswoman Desma Reid-Coleman said about the mentoring program, “and I like that kind of stuff.”
The average age of club members is the early 50s, said Jim Coyne, who oversees the Skyline Club and its sibling Renaissance Club in the Renaissance Center. But over the past year, the average age of new members is 44, and the number of women members has surged.
