Ann Arbor-based HealthMedia, Inc. announced that Kaiser Permanente, the nation’s leading integrated health plan, has selected the Ann Arbor company to be its program-wide health risk assessment system.

Kaiser Permanente looked at a number of Health Risk Assessment (HRA) vendors before deciding upon HealthMedia, which develops programs that help participants improve their health behaviors related to issues such as obesity, stress, smoking, nutrition, chronic illness, and other specific ailments such as diabetes,

“The uplift in Kaiser Permanente’s business with HealthMedia is expected to be just one of many contributions to our growth in 2007,” said Sally Hart Petersen, vice president of marketing for the company.

Peterson added that the company, which currently employees close to 100 people, expects to add 30 new jobs in Ann Arbor over the next year.
