German engineering firm to add 140 jobs to Oakland County

EDAG Engineering and Design AG announced that it will add 140 jobs to its Auburn Hills and Troy facilities over the next two years, an investment of $7 million. Governor Granholm is working to bring more such news of foreign investment to Michigan.

EDAG Engineering and Design AG announced that it will add 140 jobs to its Auburn Hills and Troy facilities over the next two years, an investment of $7 million. Governor Granholm is working to bring more such news of foreign investment to Michigan.

Granholm and Michigan Economic Development Corp. President and CEO Jim Epolito are in Germany, after holding three days of meetings with business executives, government leaders and alternative-energy experts in Sweden. Epolito and Granholm are hoping to encourage businesses looking at U.S. expansions to locate in Michigan.

Granholm also visited one of Brose Group’s plants while in Germany. Hallstadt, Germany-based Brose Group said Friday that it may soon build an additional plan in North America and is considering a site in Michigan.
