Advisicon looks to go from two to 15 people within two years
Advisicon’s Metro Detroit office is prepared to make a big jump in employee numbers, going from 2 to 15 within two years.
Metro Detroit isn’t often referred to as a land of business opportunity lately, but that’s the way the people behind Advisicon see it.
“We’re very excited to be here to be here,” says Beth Konikoff, director of global marketing for Advisicon. “There is a huge amount opportunity even though the economic climate is difficult.”
The Portland, Oregon-based firm just opened an office in Metro Detroit and plans to move into a bigger office space in Troy before the end of the year. Right now the project-management company employs two full-time employees and another five consultants. It expects to hit a staff of 15 full-time people within the next two years.
Advisicon helps fit companies with the right technology for projects and helps to make sure they maximize their usage. Right now it is aiming to take on more small- to medium-sized businesses as clients, especially in the homeland security, manufacturing and bio-tech industries.
“Those are all very, very hot areas for program and project management,” Konikoff says.
