[CEO Michael] Finney said the additional funds are needed for marketing, more business support staff and specific programs – like the wet lab incubator and business accelerator – that have limited funding.
“Your marketing efforts should be driven by the potential that’s in a community,” Finney said. “… We have to get connected to all those companies that are out there looking for homes for their businesses here in the U.S., and frankly, this region does not show up because we haven’t been out there communicating that this is a desirable place for knowledge-based employers.”
