One of downtown Ferndale’s best-known spots is getting bigger as the Woodward Avenue brewery is expanding into a nearby storefront.
The WAB, as it’s locally known, is gutting and restoring a historic storefront on Woodward Avenue immediately adjacent to the restaurant.
The bar will expand into the space, which will be used mainly for pool tables and other games. The single-story storefront had housed the old Paperbacks Unlimited book store for many years before it closed recently.
