More than half of the lofts at the River Lofts in downtown Mt. Clemens have sold out as of early January.

Fourteen of the 22 units at the River Lofts, 98 N. Gratiot Ave., have sold. Real-estate agents have sold about two lofts per month since the building opened.

The units range in price between $149,000 and $199,000. They have open floor plans and range in size from 950 to 1,400 square feet. The lofts have 17-foot ceilings, access to the Clinton River, a heated garage, optional fireplaces views of the city and Clinton River.

“This is more industrial,” said Mary Naeyaert, a real-estate agent with Century 21 handling sales for River Lofts. “The walls are cinderblock and they show. There are stained concrete floors.”

Mt. Clemens-based Mineral Springs Development started this project in October, 2004. Finished models came online in May, 2006.
