State plans to upgrade Woodward crosswalks at 12 Mile

Crossing Woodward Avenue isn’t for the faint of heart, but even those people will have an easier time now that the Michigan Department of Transportation has approved a new crosswalk improvement project in Oakland County.MDOT plans to improve the 12 Mile Road/Woodward intersection between Royal Oak and Berkley. The project will provide more shelter for pedestrians with traffic calming measures and pedestrian countdown crossing signals.
