AA pharmacuetical receives 15th patent

Ann Arbor-based Unitech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. landed its 15th patent related to cancer treatment.

Excerpt:

The major advantage of Unitech’s patented platinum compounds is that they have much greater selectivity in attacking only cancer cells, reducing the side effects of chemotherapy. The conversion through a “biotrigger” between active and inactive states of the compounds is even reversible.
