SRG Global opens R&D center in Taylor

SRG Global opened a new research and development center in Taylor this week.The Warren-based firm’s Advanced Development Center will allow the company to develop new chrome-plated plastics in a manufacturing setting in order to speed up development and commercialization of its new products. Think letting the products prove themselves faster by putting them in a real-world setting.SRG Global’s new facility will include 46,000 square feet of laboratories and injection-molding presses. These tools will allow the company to produce limited runs of parts for coating and testing. It will also be used to create display parts for auto shows, including nameplates and emblems. The plant will be staffed by a number of white collar workers, including technicians, engineers, and scientists.
