UM and MSU awarded NASA research grants
The University of Michigan and Michigan State University have both won aeronautics research awards from the Fundamental Aeronautics Program at NASA.
The University of Michigan and Michigan State University both won aeronautics research awards from the Fundamental Aeronautics Program of NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate.
UM won one award for $150,000 and MSU won two awards totaling $271,000.
The UM proposal will fund research into finite element analysis of metallic and composite rotorcraft. The MSU awards will fund research into modeling complex combustion and propulsion systems, and for research into manufacturing fiber-metal hybrid laminates.
These awards will foster close collaboration with and facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among researchers at NASA, industry, academia, and other government agencies to benefit the nation’s aeronautics community.
