More than 100 artists and makers will be selling traditional handicrafts with a modern spin at the Masonic Temple at Handmade Detroit's coming craft fair. Vintage jewelry, clothing, home décor, bath and body products, and sweet treats are all on the menu.

Let's face it, we all need a day off. Especially with the start of school. Metromode will be taking a break as we gear up for homework, after school clubs, and the generalized chaos that follows Labor Day. But look for a new issue on September 11th, when we return with more stories of innovation and growth.
Food, glorious food! As Metromode rounds the bases for its 350th issue, we look back on one of the things that makes metro Detroit great: comestibles (a.k.a. food!). From restaurants to startups to chefs to markets, our region is flexing its muscle to become a veritable banquet of food innovation.
