While we await the latest public artwork to arrive in downtown Farmington, we took a stroll up and down the city streets to see what precedes its installation.

“We’re thrilled to unveil this new bike lane pilot project on Plumbrook,” says Sterling Heights Mayor Michael Taylor.
“There are only a few places in the country that feature beer, meat, and cheese,” says proprietor and brewer Eli Green. “Astoria New York’s The Bier and Cheese Collective, and Minneapolis’s Waldmann. I am thrilled to add Stumblebum to that list.”

"I think that these events show the community how accessible physical fitness is, both on a personal level and locally," says Joel Lewis, owner of TrvFit Farmington. "As humans we need movement and community, and all of the studios and clubs participating provide that. My hope is that this event will provide the first steps for community members to find their tribe and get moving."

And Detroit is a fantastic place to deploy these civic infrastructure tests as the city is focused both on future technology opportunities and the needs of communities," says Orange Sparkle Ball's Ashley Touchton.
What started as a love for hexagons while studying architecture led Jessica Brady to bees. Now the founder of Mother Hive, an Oak Park small business that specializes in baked goods, Brady's uses honey from her backyard apiary to sweeten her recipes.
