The trade representatives are members of the Chicago International Trade Commissioners Association.
“These individuals are the decision makers for when their respective countries are looking to do business in the Midwest,” says John Carroll, executive director of the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership. “We want them to think about the Detroit market first.”
The delegation toured Southeast Michigan, including stops at NextEnergy and TechTown near Wayne State University in Detroit.
Commissioners were from: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Japan, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Quebec, South Africa, Switzerland and Wales.
