IMRA expands Ann Arbor facility, to add 20 positions

Laser technology is joining the ranks of new economy industries taking root in Ann Arbor. Laser-maker IMRA America is moving forward with plans to expand its R&D facilities in Ann Arbor Township and add another 20 jobs.

IMRA America has been around Ann Arbor a while and it plans to stick around at least a little longer. The fiber laser firm is expanding it’s offices just east of the city and planning to add 20 new employees this year.

The fiber laser firm is adding 20,000 square feet of research-and-development space to its campus on Woodbridge Avenue off Dixboro Road north of Geddes Road and just east of the city limits. It also expects to add 20 more jobs to its staff of 60.
