2006 banner year for HealthMedia

A global leader in online behavior intervention, HealthMedia saw substantial growth in revenue, client base and staff levels while taking home numerous health care awards in 2006.

With an 88 percent growth in healthcare revenue, a 50 percent increase in staff levels, and numerous awards for wellness and disease management, 2006 proved to be a winner for Ann Arbor-based HealthMedia.

A global leader in online behavior intervention, the company delivers individually tailored self-management intervention for health and wellness, disease management and medication compliance.

2006 saw the company attract clients like Aetna Behavioral Health, Biogen Idec, Boehringer Ingelheim, The Cleveland Clinic, Education Testing Services, Mellon Bank, Principle Financial, and Readers Digest. Furthermore, through the company’s partners, they secured contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas, Humana, Schering-Plough, Tuscon Medical Center, Xerox the States of Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Last year, the company acquired Boston-based MySelfHelp.com –the nation’s leading provider of online behavioral health intervention for depression, eating disorders, grief management and insomnia—and released the highly regarded HealthMedia Care for Diabetes, an online diabetes self-management program.

In addition, Healthmedia won a 2006 Innovations in Healthcare Award from the Adaptive Business Leaders Association as well as numerous other awards.
