The company moved into a renovated 7,500-square-foot historic building at 22 W. Huron St. in Pontiac.

Folder-printing company Company Folders plans to hire around 16 employees after moving its headquarters from Keego Harbor to downtown Pontiac.

The company moved into a renovated 7,500-square-foot historic building at 22 W. Huron St., which formerly housed Push 22, a marketing and communications agency; Push 22 relocated to Bingham Farms. Renovations to the building included an open floor plan, exposed ceilings, and updated exterior.

“Investing in a larger space and modern amenities such as sit-to-stand desks for all staff members offers a better work environment,” Company Folders founder and CEO Vladimir Gendelman says in a statement. “We also are now able to bring more than a dozen new, high-paying jobs to Pontiac.”

Company Folders also joins Main Street Pontiac and the chamber as the city aims to attract more businesses to the downtown.

“Company Folders coming to Pontiac really expands the city’s workforce development agenda by bringing new businesses to our city. It also brings new jobs to our local residents,” says Jane Bais-DiSessa, Pontiac’s deputy mayor. “Pontiac is truly moving forward by becoming a technology hub to the Metro Detroit area, and Company Folders is one of those businesses we hope to continue to attract.”

Gendelman founded Company Folders in 2003, and it’s been on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States for the last three years. The additional hires are expected to come in content development, marketing, and technology; a new customer support employee began Monday.
