“I think (children) see themselves in it,” says Corrine Stocker, Library Director at Hazel Park District Library. “It's just a bit of magic, and it really lifts up the library and the city in general.”
“This event allows investors and developers to engage directly with local leaders and talk about exciting new projects in our communities,” says Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter.
It’s October, which means that Edgar the Grand Raven has made its annual return to downtown Farmington.
"His dedication to our community has transformed our parks, and we have seen firsthand the positive impact parks and recreation have on the quality of life for our residents," says Sterling Heights Mayor Michael Taylor.
“Being recognized for something you love doing is an unexpected honor,” says Sterling Heights council member Barbara Ziarko.
The next round of improvements slated for Ferndale’s Martin Road Park is underway.
“This recognition is a testament to the county and its communities," says Oakland County’s Chief Sustainability Officer Erin Quetell.
