Talks begin on 2nd bridge to Windsor

State officials have started to look at what homes and businesses in Detroit’s Delray neighborhood will have to be displaced to build a second bridge between Detroit and Windsor.

State transportation officials eying a second bridge to Windsor have started interviewing about 85 business owners in the Delray neighborhood about relocation plans.

The process, expected to take several months, will be followed this summer by discussions with some 400 residents in the southwest Detroit neighborhood, said Mohammed Alghurabi, manager of the project for the Michigan Department of Transportation.
