SDE purchases MRO and lands Chrysler contract, adds 200 positions

Detroit-based SDE Business Partnering (SDE) has purchased the Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) Consulting Practice from EDS.

Agreements were finalized in March making SDE –a minority-owned provider of labor, program management, consulting and vendor management services– the largest independent MRO supplier in the country.

The company will acquire from EDS a support staff of approximately 200, who will move to a facility SDE will open in Troy. 

SDE has also recently been awarded a multi-year contract with the Chrysler Group. The company will manage the MRO procurement and services operations for the group’s facilities in the United States and Canada. 

SDE MRO Express (SME), a newly formed subsidiary, will service the account. SME will create over 200 new jobs and is actively seeking buyers, category managers and customer care representatives.
