More proof that the film industry tax credits are creating economic opportunity in Michigan is evident from the new partnership between a local and a Los Angeles firmBig Screen Entertainment Group is partnering with Michigan-based Scientifically Proven Entertainment on the production and distribution of film, TV, and video game projects. These projects will be undertaken in Michigan to take tax advantage of the state’s new film incentives.Scientifically Proven Entertainment is run by a former Activision employee who helped create Call of Duty, one of the most profitable video game franchises ever. The company is currently working on a video game for the Microsoft Xbox360 and Sony Playstation 3 that is based on a very popular cable TV show.The partnership will allow Scientifically Proven Entertainment to distribute its games and other ventures through Big Screen Entertainment Group’s distribution DVD/Blu-Ray label with WEA/Warner Music Group and internationally through BSEG’s in-house distribution arm.
