Macomb County Community College opens alternative fuel center

Macomb Community College has opened the Macomb Center for Alternative Fuels.

Macomb Community College has opened the Macomb Center for Alternative Fuels.

One of the first initiatives is the integration of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle curriculum into the college’s associate’s degree program in automotive technology. The curriculum is being developed in partnership with the Division of Engineering Technology at Wayne State University. The center is partially funded by a National Science Foundation grant.

The center is located in the Robert E. Turner Advanced Technology Center on the college’s South Campus.
