Grand River Interactive is spreading it wings in Ann Arbor as it gets ready to take off. The new start-up hopes to grow to between 25 and 50 people within the next three years.

People have been trying to build the better mouse trap for centuries but Grand River Interactive wants to build the better website for Internet retailers, while creating a few jobs in Ann Arbor.

Retailing on the Internet isn’t as simple as putting up a website and buying a few Adwords anymore. That’s the mindset of the two friends behind Grand River Interactive.

Scott Robertson and Steve Thallman started Grand River, their second Internet venture together, last October with the idea that web-based consumers have matured and now shop at websites whose evolution reflects that maturity.
