Geeks and Gurus grows downtown business, adding two more people in two years

Detroit’s Geeks and Gurus may only be an operation of a couple of people, but the little start-up than can hopes to double in size within the next two years.

If the information end of websites is where the money is at then Geeks and Gurus is in prime position to grow. The Detroit-based website business plans to begin expanding slowly but surely over the next two years.

Downtown-based Geeks and Gurus specializes in web sites that process large amounts of information.

The company, founded in 1999, makes its money developing customized software and websites with a special focus on information processing.

The company employs 2.1 people (more on that in a second) and hopes to add another programmer before the end of this year and another one before the end of 2009, says Stephen Bodnar, president of Geeks and Gurus.
