Garden Lofts at Woodward Place prepares for first move-ins
Construction to the Garden Lofts at Woodward Place development in downtown Detroit is close to finishing as the building’s first residents prepare to move in in the summer.
Work is nearly finished at Garden Lofts at Woodward Place and the developers are looking at acquiring more land to expand the project.
Officials from Crosswinds Communities expect to finish build out of the first unit by April. However, residents won’t be permitted to move into finished units until their floor is complete, putting the move in date to June or July. So far 40 of the 62 units have been closed on. The other 22 are still for sale.
Garden Lofts at Woodward Place is between Winder Street and I-75 Service Drive in Brush Park. The four-story building has enclosed parking on the ground floor and three floors of residences above.
Each unit comes with 10-foot ceilings, a balcony, hardwood floors, one parking spot per bedroom and access to a fitness center. A small garden area is in the center of the building. The units range in size from 800 to 1,446 square feet. Prices on range from $150,000 to the mid $300,000s.
Crosswinds is looking to build three more similar buildings on Brush Street. Construction on the next building is set to begin later this year.
Crosswinds is also looking to purchase adjacent land to build up to three more loft buildings.
