The nation’s economy is weak. But the federal government still has money. Washington gives local governments $400 billion a year…. in grants alone. Friday, (Nov 14), for example, is the deadline for municipalities to ask the EPA for up to a half million dollars each for brownfield cleanup.
Michigan Now’s Chris McCarus has been with suburban Detroit officials jockeying for federal money and asked how southeast Michigan can a piece of the action.
