PMV moves to bigger headquarters as it plans to add more employees

Metro Detroiters outgrow clothes all the time but it’s not everyday a business outgrows its offices. That day has come for PMV Technologies, which has grown so fast it had to move from Troy to bigger offices in Madison Heights.

PMV Technologies has been growing so fast recently that it has completely outgrown its old home in Troy.

The IT firm has gone from 24 employees in 2004 to nearly 40 today, and has a handful of positions currently open. The company expects to add another 10 to 20 people within two years. The company has enjoyed 100 percent or more growth in each of its first four years and expects another 70 percent this year.

That type of growth led to the move from its Troy offices to new space in a building on Stephenson Highway in Madison Heights. The new offices will feature new space for a top-tier network operations center, help desk and a client training room. It also has significantly more parking to accommodate expected employee growth and visitors.

PMV specializes in making sure other businesses’ IT systems work without problems. The theory goes: by managing and outsourcing computer system management, clients have more reliable systems and lose less of their valuable productive time trying to correct frustrating computer snafus.
