Work on Ann Arbor’s Sculpture Park is largely done.

New trees? Check.
New streetlights and fresh brick pavers? Check.
New tables and chairs? Double check.

Refurbished Herberling sculpture? Check back in a few weeks.

The 18-foot-tall sculpture by former Ann Arbor artist David Herberling is still being worked on and city officials are not sure when it will be returned to its original condition. In the mean time, everything else in the park at Catherine, Fourth and
Detroit streets in Kerrytown (a half block south of the Farmer’s Market) is finished and open to the public.

The city and the DDA are investing nearly $200,000 into a renovation that began in earlier this summer. The city opened the plaza 30 years ago. It is centered on the Herberling Sculpture, and serves as a link for pedestrians between downtown and Kerrytown.
