Lincoln Park calling artists for public art display

A vacant downtown Lincoln Park storefront will become a temporary art gallery filled with artwork from artists The Lincoln Park Downtown Development Authority is inviting art students and artists to display their art work in the storefront windows on Fort Street and Southfield. The display is connected to the Detroit Institute of Arts Inside/Out Street art program that will install reproductions of masterpieces on building facades in downtown Lincoln Park. The paintings will be up from July through September. "The goal of the DDA is to provide continuos art experience for visitors attending the Inside/Out program," says Madhu Oberoi, director of the Lincoln Park DDA.
