BCG is a global strategy consulting firm that serves clients in a variety of industries.  The firm focuses on developing forward-thinking strategies for our clients in a way that will help them navigate a competitive business environment, and my assignments vary in scope and clientele.  I'm based here in BCG's Detroit office, which was opened in 2005 and now has approximately 25 consultants on staff.  I truly love the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from a wealth of backgrounds and experiences on some of the most challenging issues facing the business world today!

As an analyst, I have had the opportunity to work on various business processes for clients across different industries including manufacturing and professional services. I have enjoyed working with colleagues on different client engagements as well as community activities in the Detroit, which Deloitte is extensively involved in.

I work as a Human Resource Generalist where I mostly assist with recruiting and benefits. Each day is different and can consist of sourcing through resumes, entering employee information in HR systems, recruiting at career fairs, conducting interviews and phone screens and many other exciting tasks. I enjoy what I do because I am able to talk and work with different people and applicants’ everyday and represent Urban Science.

I solve business problems through project-based consulting, software engineering, web design, streaming video, and social media.

I am responsible for the ownership and management of the firm, including administrative work, finances, and personnel.  I lead in the design and am responsible for the primary project delivery through the project closeout.

I support our consultants and clients in health plan design, funding, pricing, and administration of group medical, prescription drug, dental, life, disability, and other employee benefit related programs. . Other responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, estimating future plan costs and developing pricing models, participating in renewal rate, fee and benefit negotiations with insurance carriers and working with clients and carriers to conduct research for client plans and special projects
