Description:General/ Daily: Blog (daily); Add events/venues to the website; Keep office organized/tidy; Answer phones; Collect business cards in your daily activities; Collect contact/business cards from employees for company database; Design Intern MySpace page (1 per team - who can get the most friends?); Add friends daily to build our e-vite reach; Post event flyers on comments, etc (event interns); Post blogs, updates, bulletins daily (editorial interns)
Sales: Events (promoting); Pick up trade; Client/Prospect Research; This facilitates the Sales Team by preparing them with information before they make a first call; Cold Call: Be sure to get the name of the person who handles marketing for the company; Search for new businesses that fit into the 944 image; Shadow Sales Call (at least 1 per intern); Run an '08 report; Find our who used to advertise and why they may not be now
Distribution: Distribution Audit: Call on Racks, Enough Mags?, etc; Magazine Drops (business to business); Research new distribution points- what high traffic areas might we want to add to our list?
Events: Event Set-Up (Day of); Research new events and add to the website; Plan/ Produce Intern Event (1 per team); Work @ 944 events (door); Attend and Support 944 events
Promotions: Demographics survey & distribution check up; Introduction packet drop-offs to business we want to work w/ or re-establish relations; Potential Clients; Radio Stations; TV Stations; PR agencies; Greek Life; Event Promo/ Website Promo on campus (hand-out flyers, on-campus posters, Palm Walk/Greek Life events, etc); Street Team (hand out event flyers/mags to local businesses, colleges, hang posters on campus, etc); Happy Hour promotions; Wear intern shirts, take photos, drop mags; Go to clubs and set-up on table distribution; Give out 944 swag if applicable
