Description:Do you have a BS in an engineering field and/or experience in composite materials? If so, Roush is now seeking an entry-level Composites Engineer to assist our Advanced Composites group. You will have the opportunity to work under the direction of a Senior Engineer on various projects and tasks. You will support the basic development, design, testing and analysis, manufacture and quality control of composite engineered components. Responsibilities will include: project support, data collection/reporting, and quality inspections. We are looking for a self-starter interested in a broad based, hands-on career in the field of engineering. This position is located in Livonia, MI.
Requirements:Must have BS in a related engineering discipline or have 2+ years’ experience with composite materials • Fundamental understanding of laminated composite materials and their processing • Competent with a standard CAD system such as: Solidworks, CATIA, or ProEngineer • Able to work a 40+ hour work week • Must be motivated and highly adaptable to learning new equipment and processes • Good interpersonal skills and able to work within a team environment • Ability to organize and schedule several projects simultaneously • Proficient with PC: MS Office, Excel Preferred: • Composites background • Quality control and process controls development experience • Exposure to lab environment (materials characterization, composites, property testing, failure analyses) • Experience in CAE or FEA modeling using ABAQUS • APQP or PPAP experience • Tooling and fixture development experience
