Little things look like they will have a big impact on Michigan's economy now that the University of Michigan
has finished an expansion of its nanotechnology research center. The facility has
contributed an estimated $500 million to the state's economy during its
existence and is expected to add onto that number with the new addition.Excerpt:

the amount University
of Michigan officials
estimate its nanotechnology center has contributed to the state's economy. That
number should only go up now that a new $40 million, 37,000
square-foot addition has been finished.

Coleman, president of the University
of Michigan. "It is a stunning and important component of the
