BOSSdev on track for 100 percent growth this year
metromode, 8/14/2008
There are a lot of business opportunities overseas and luckily a number of Metro Detroit companies know how to exploit them. Add
BOSSdev
to the list, as the company capitalizes on a huge growth spurt and prepares for another.
The interactive company specializes in software development services for overseas customers, but most of its business is in the Ukraine. Today more than 250 people work for the company (30 of which are based out of the company's headquarters in Troy), which started in 2005 with two people.
"We keep filling in as the company grows," says John O'Green, president of BOSSdev.
Even though that is quite the trajectory for a young company, it is preparing for another big jump. In the first six months of this year the firm matched the total gross sales of 2007, positioning the company for 100 percent growth in 2008.
It hopes to do that by continuing to expand its overseas operations. BOSSdev, which deals mostly with website application development, is currently looking to break into the Argentina and China markets.
