Mother's Day brunch: Culinary artists at the Henry Ford prepare feast on day to honor all moms

The Henry Ford
May 11 10:30 a.m - 2:30 p.m.

Aww, Mother's Day is about as good as it gets: flowers, food and fun on a day devoted to moms everywhere.

Let yours know how special she is by treating her to an elegant brunch at The Henry Ford’s historic Lovett Hall ballroom Sunday (May 11) from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with dishes specially prepared by The Henry Ford’s award-winning culinary team (Psst: everyone we know who's been there is raving about the artistry of this kitchen).

Guests of this special event will dine in the sophisticated atmosphere of Lovett Hall’s 1930s ballroom – designed by Henry and Clara Ford for the elegant and world-famous events and dances they regularly hosted – which include crystal chandeliers, polished teak floors and a grand staircase.

The brunch menu includes chilled cheeses and fruits and a salad display, as well as carving stations with sirloin, onion currant compote, salmon and tarragon. A chef’s selection of vegetables and accompaniments, mimosas and made-to-order waffle and omelet stations will also be featured, and a cookie decorating station for kids and sweets table of assorted desserts and chocolate fountain finish off the meal.

Tickets are $48 for member adults and $24 for member youths (ages 5-12); non-members are $56 for adults and $28 for youths. Children ages 4 and under are free. Space is limited. For reservations and additional details call 313-982-6001 or go here.
