Summer in Detroit is coming to mean a lot of things: Tigers games at Comerica Park, of course; but also newer options, like strolling, skating or biking on the RiverWalk or the Dequindre Cut, lounging in Campus Martius on fourth Fridays or the all ages hot weather version of Baar Bazaar held at Midtown's Magic Stick.

The event features locally-produced handmade crafts, jewelry, clothes, vintage toys and household items by artists and designers like Reware Vintage, Chris Cook, Lish Magic, Blackenedruby Jewelry, Knifey Moloko, Shionne Designs, Glass Action!, Jasmine Everson, TalkingSquid, Chad Hansen, Courtney Wethy, Kristine Hahn, Einfach Skate, Green Daffodil Soy Candleworks and Twig Natural Soap Company, The Black Water Gallery, Bellyache Candy Shop and others.

The Baar Bazaar is Friday, July 3, at the Magic Stick (4120 Woodward Avenue, Detroit). Admission is free, doors open at 8 p.m., and itis an all ages event. Music will be supplied by Macho City DJs, Serenity Court and Mother Whale.
