Stellar student art: College for Creative Studies launches annual exhibit and sale
College for Creative Studies
May 16
7-10 p.m.
Students at College for Creative Studies, it's your turn to take a bow. The annual spring showcase of artwork this weekend will turn the
CCS campus into a giant gallery featuring creations by up-and-coming artists who craft
furniture, sculpture, ceramics, hand-blown glass, jewelry, paintings,
photography and other works of art.
The CCS Student Exhibition is one of Detroit's largest celebrations of
creativity. All proceeds from the sale go directly to the students to help jump start their careers in art and design.
Opening night is Friday, May 16, 7-10 p.m., with a collectors preview and private reception. Tickets are $350. There is a general exhibition opening the same night, with tickets priced at $50.
