Dually based in Ann Arbor and Zurich, Zattoo is an Internet TV service which utilizes P2P (peer-to-peer) technology to stream live "on-air" or cable programs to your computer.

Providing its own user-friendly player, Zattoo allows multi-taskers to watch television programs while accomplishing other computer desktop tasks. The picture quality is nearly that of high quality digital and downloading Zattoo is free, as the company covers costs through advertising sales.

Zattoo currently employs 20 people and has plans to reach 30 by the end of the year. They are  looking to fill positions across the board; from General Counsel and VP Operations to software engineers.

Co-founded by CTO and Chairman of the Board Sugih Jamin, --who pulls double duty as an Associate Professor at U-M's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science-- Zattoo has attracted over 2 million registered users in 8 European countries. They carry over 115 broadcast channels in Europe and plan to enter the US and selected Asian markets later this year.

"We have benefitted from our affinity to the University of Michigan," says Jamin. "U of M graduates in computer science are highly sought after by the likes of Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, and we're pleased to say that we have remained competitive in attracting the top talents to Zattoo, partly due to our being located locally in Ann Arbor.
